He worked in security, bakery, heating, and roofing businesses part time while
a student, then got a job with Frederick Pump & Engineering in Los
Angeles, where he learned all about residential, commercial and
industrial pumps. After deciding to finish his BA in Liberal
Arts, he was hired part time in the Plant Maintenance plumbing shop
at Ambassador College due to his experience with pumps. After
graduating, he was hired full time as a plumber and worked there for
7 years. In 1990, he moved back to Tacoma with his wife and
two children, and worked for the VA facility at American Lake, as
well as a couple of local plumbing companies, before starting his
own business in 1992. Bob has had formal training in many
aspects of the plumbing industry, and now teaches plumbing classes
for Construction Industry Training Council, as well as serving as
President of the Washington State chapter of Plumbing Heating
Cooling Contractors Association.
